Why Do People Talk About You?

Why do people talk about you? I mean unless it's something good, but nooooooo-these people are saying small snippets about you behind your back. Then they must know that someone who cares about you in the crowd listening is going to tell you what they say. Why? I mean why? I looked out for you, always watching your back, defending you when someone says something bad about you. Why are you turning on me like that? I really don't understand. I don't remember doing anything wrong to you, if I did-trust me, it wasn't on purpose. I don't know, sometimes I think people can change, and then maybe I see a little progress of change for the better. But that old habit comes back. I guess when someone has lived in a bad attitude, habit or behavior-they tend to fall back into it. They try to change, but the have a relapse. It hurts and it bothers me sometime when someone close to you talks about you. I really don't understand. Maybe they have a problem deep down that they really need some help. I just had to get this off my chest. Have a great New Year everybody. I'll be posting kinda slow from here on out. Things has gotten really busy for me. My business, and school has picked up. So I'll be chatting with you all when I can. Take care guys. *Don't forget to make your New Years resolutions. One of mine of course is to loose at least 20 lbs. Hopefully I'll be moving within 3 years between now through 2011. I'm sure it'll be sooner than that, but I just gave myself a 3 year window. What's your New Years resolutions? My hopes for you is that you can follow it through. I'm rooting for you all. You can do it.

What I Got For Christmas

Hi everybody, and Merry Christmas!!! I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas day today. Enjoying your delicious dinner, family, friends, drinking egg nog, and unwrapping those nice Christmas presents. Here's what I unwrapped for my Christmas gifts: My mom & dad got me a nice outfit, very pretty and a gift card of a pretty nice amount on it. Yay, I love that. My son got me a bath & beauty set, which I love, he surprised me with that one. Oh yeah I almost forgot, my father got me a calligraphy kit, and some cookie decorating and baking things. My daddy loves me. Of course you may not know that I am a daddy's girl. He knows that I like trying new things, so that calligraphy set is right up my alley. I also got myself the movie "This Christmas", and "Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian", and my parents got the movie "Batman the Dark Night". We are going to have a pretty busy movie night watching all those movies. I can't wait, I'm so excited. So today I had a great time. My sister and brother and their families came over and it was a pretty full house. No snow was no where in sight. It was actually about 71 degrees today in S.C. My mother says that we probably will get snow sometime in January. As always I'm going to miss Christmas, ever since I was a little girl. So now I console myself with the fact that I have a whole year to look forward to it again. I will begin getting my gifts together for Christmas 2009, starting after the 3rd week in January. That way, I'll difinitely have a head start on my gift giving. How smart is that, right? My birthday Is this Monday coming, and I look forward to celebrating it. My one request, and there are others, but this particular one is really simple. I'd like to eat breakfast at IHOP. What a wonderful place, the food there is really great. So that's what I got for Christmas, and I appreciate every bit of it. I can truly say this was a great day for me. In our daily life and daily living, rememer to have fun, don't worry about things we cannot change, but just go with the flow and live in freedom and peace, let's look forward to doing that for the coming year. That's what life is really all about. -For the soldiers who are away from their families this Christmas, I hope you have had a blessed Christmas.- "I am praying for you my soldiers, I am praying for you my brothers & sisters, I am praying for you my sons & daughters, I am praying for you my moms & dads: May the Lord protect you and comfort you throughout everyday of your life, I pray that the Lord will bring you home safely where you belong. Merry Christmas Blogger Friends

Merry Christmas my blogger friends. You know what's up, it'll probably be a while before I post again so I just wanted to say: "May you all have a wonderful, blessed and fun Merry Christmas and New Year.
Happy Holidays to all. I will in just a few minutes start baking, wrapping Christmas gifts, and planning my Christmas dinner menu. Until then everybody take care and enjoy your love ones on this special Holiday season.

Oh Yeah

I almost forgot, these are some of the baked goods that I will be baking to give as gifts. The baked goods will be the last of my Christmas gift giving. I will be baking some Fruit Cake Bars, and Pecan-Pie Cookies. I've been making these for the past 4 years and have giving them out for Christmas gifts. People seem to really love them, so I keep making them.

The Fruit Cake Bars will be a different recipe I'll be trying this year. A lot of people I know and in my family really loves Fruit Cake, so some of them will be getting those.

Oh yeah, let me say to my brother Happy Birthday, and may you have many blessed more. My brother loves dogs so this fitting for him.

O. K. back to the baking. The other baked goods that I may be baking, which is kinda of iffy. Gingerbread boys and girls or I may make some chocolate covered peanuts. I haven't decided yet which one I will do. These will be Christmas favors to give out to guests when they get ready to leave after visiting. So what are you all baking as Christmas gifts? Is it a traditional recipe, or a different one? Get those recipes ready though ladies, we only have 7 days until Christmas. enjoy your Holidays and have lots of fun baking, making, and buying your gifts while you take time with your family.

Here's a tidbit of information about me that you didn't know. I have lots to celebrate every year in December. My siblings will be getting a baked goods as a birthday gift from me. They always love it. Here's the tidbit:

My brother, sister and I were all born in December. What are the odds right? My birthday is December 29th, I'm planning on something special for it to. How exciting, I can't wait. I'll fill you in what happen and the all the fun festivities that took place.

Christmas Prayer Requests

I want to pray for anyone who has a prayer request. Why? Well, because everyone can use the extra help. Plus it doesn't hurt a bit, it's actually pain free. How about that? I'm game for pain free, and as along as it doesn't hurt anyone else either, prayer has my vote.

My prayer request for this season is that I can be in good health. You see sometimes my left foot tends to hurt and I want to be pain free from that. So I'm believing God to heal me from that. Not much the doctors can do except prescribe pain medicine. So I'm believing that it is going to get better.

So is there anybody that would love for me to pray for them, I am so happy to do it. Just leave your prayer request in the comment. If you don't want to leave it there, I'd be happy to except your prayer request via e-mail. You can e-mail your prayer request to confide7@verizon.net.

There are other situations I am praying about that I can't really mention in my post, but I do desire your prayers that they will work out and things can be restored. Thank you so much. As I pray with you in agreement that God will move on your behalf of your prayer request, I'm having faith that God will come through for you. I also like to hear any testimonies or results of answered prayers. This will encourage others as well to believe and have faith that God can do it. By your faith, God can do it.

"...For truly I (Jesus) say to you, if you have faith [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you."
Matthew 17:20 (Amplified Version)

What Jesus meant in that particular verse, is that if you have even a little faith in Him, He can work with that, and that nothing is impossible for Him if you believe that He can do that what you request. It doesn't mean literally mountains, but no matter how big your problem is-He can take care of it. We may not see our prayers answered right a way, but it will be answered, if we continue to have faith in Christ. Some people see their prayers answered right away, days later, weeks later, months or even sometimes it might be years. It depends on how strong our faith is. We must have hope, and even when it seems hard and we can't bare anymore struggles-we can't give up.

So if you have a prayer request, I would love to pray with you and for you. What's your request? Let's believe God together for the answer.

Have fun this Christmas, and keep hoping and have faith, 'for nothing is impossible for God, to those who trust Him.'

Bake Sale Results

The bake sale I think was a huge success. I mopped up at least $200.00. I would say that's pretty good for one day. I also wanted to do this bake sale to advertise my other products I make and sell. I want the community to know what I'm selling. It was a cold day, but it turned out pretty good. Well I'm almost finishing up my homemade Christmas gifts, and I will be also buying some and baking some. O.k. good people I'll chat with you later. Bake Sale Update Preparation

O.K. preparations for a Bake Sale is a lot of work. First thanks to all of you for your encouraging words, to keep going in my business venture. Also again thank you to all for wishing me the best on doing well with the bake sale.

I have been pretty busy preparing for this bake sale extravaganza. I expect and hope that a lot of people will be coming. I've passed out many flyers and told anybody I could think of. I've also used the advice that Lulu from "A Tale Of Two Sisters" (www.nixonsleeves.blogspot.com) gave me on Marketing my products more. Thanks Lulu, appreciate it girlfriend. Looks like it worked well to. Here are some pictures of what I wll be selling at my bake sale along with some of my home made products. My natural-chemical free soap, some earrings & charm bracelets I made. I also designed some tote bags. I hope that becomes a big seller.

Peanut Butter Cookies,

Christmas Cupcakes, which I think is going to sell really well. These really put you in the Christmas Spirit.

Snowball Cookies, is a recipe I got from a recipe book. I tweaked the recipe a little and made it my own. They are really good. There made with of course butter, all purpose flour, chopped walnuts and you roll them into bite size balls. When there cooled off, you roll the in powdered sugar. I like to add milk chocolate chips in them, and they taste great. Sometimes I experiment on them and roll them in cinnamon & powdered sugar. When I do that, I get sort of a spice ball cookie. Fun isn't it? Can you tell I love baking?

Last but not certainly not in the American least, chocolate chip cookies. Who doesn't love chocolate chip cookies? This is an all-time favorite for everybody. I will be selling a lot of these. another thing that's festive to do for Christmas is add baking M & M chips. Some of you probably have tried that. It makes the cookie so colorful and fun.

I really hope I do well, and I will post about my progress. In the meantime, I'm back to preparing, baking, and producing attractive jewelry to sell. It's such a fun thing to do around the Holidays.

BAKE SALE

Alright, a bake sale yeah! I'm planning a bake sale, and Its a lot of work. I'm going to have a variety of cookies, but I want to bake something that's going to really attract customers. So if any of you have an idea of a great cookie recipe let me know. I'm really doing this bake sale for the fun and well for some extra cash to make. I need to build up my funds for my growing business. It's just sort of taking a while and it's been slow. I'm patient though, at one time I thought about giving up. I mean I even thought about turning in my Business Liscense. I'm just having a time trying to figure out the best way to advertise, and attract people to what I'm selling.

I even narrowed down my products and now I'm trying to only streamline my natural soaps, charm bracelets, and decorative totebags. These totebags are not handmade by me, I just only customize it and personalize it, and then sell it. The other products I'm going to work on is making business cards and brochures for businesses. We'll see how that goes, hopefully it will go well. I hope this bake sale will bring in revenues of potential loyal cutomers as well, when they see some of my products and use them. My goal for this bake sale is to raise enough money to open up a business bank account and get more supplies to make the products I'm offering.

So if you have any business advice (how to boost sells, advertising, etc.), breath-taking recipes (anything different, mouthwatering, etc.) it is much appreciated. I believe I'm going to give my self at least 2 years for my business Bountiful Treasures to get up off the ground. It'll be a certain financial goal I'll set to see if it gets there within that 2 years. If I don't see it happens , well I'll have to move on to something else. I will definitely be disappointed if it doesn't work, becasue having my own business was always a dream since I've been a little girl. Let's hope and pray it does work out. It's not easy starting a business, but I do like what I do making jewelry and soaps. It's really great and fun, maybe that's what has me to continue to keep going.

I do hope my bake sale comes through for the financial goal I have set. I am excited about it and can't wait to start baking. What I have so far to bake is everybody's favorite; chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter and oatmeal cookies. I will be doing whoopie pie sandwich cookies, and these cookies call snowball cookies. I tweaked the recipe a little, but everybody loves them who tried them. I will be baking brownies to. Oh yeah, I'm not sure, but I thought about doing cupcakes with Christmas decorations on top. What do you think? Should I do the cupcakes or leave them out. Your answer will determine whether I do it or not. Thank ya'll. I'll show you picks of them if the vote is yes, but I will still get some pics of the other baked goods I bake anyway. My Bake Sale is scheduled to be on December 13/Saturday. Hope it will be a success.

Don't forget girls, get those oven cranked up and those decorations flowing. Hey anybody out there doing a Christmas Cookie Exchange? I'm just interested. Whats Your Favorite Christmas Movie?

I'm a movie fanatic. Along with the reality shows I love to watch, there are quite a bit of movies I like to watch too. Here are only a few of my top 5 top Christmas Movies I like.

I know, I gues you say I'm to old to like "The Polar Express", but this cartoon movie is my all time favorite. When I watch this movie, it takes me back to when I was a little girl. On the movie while the children are traveling to meet Santa at the North Pole, the kids get a hot chocolate refreshment. Oh boy, do I love hot chocolate. I think this is a great movie of course for kids, but actually it's great for adults. It puts me in the mood of thinking about doing a Polar Express pajama party, just for us adult girls.

Filled with hot chocolate, chatter, encouragement and innocence. Who knows.

"Little Women", OMG-I mean this movie is like wisdom for life. The way Marmee gives her girls such wise and practical, deep invoking advice is such a treasure. I love this movie, because I see some of myself in Jo and Meg. These girls grew up in their own adult way of changing the world as good contributors in what they did and believed in.

"Christmas with the Kranks", that is such a hillarious movie. With Tim Allen trying to skip Christmas is actually impossible. It does make you think about the hustle and bustle, and what plans can you come up with to avoid that. This year I'm trying to make my Christmas more meaningful and simpler but enjoyable.

"Borrowed Hearts", well that is a movie about, believing in something that you want and never giving up, until it comes through. When something seems like only a dream, it can be much more by faith and prayer and it becomes a reality. Borrowed Hearts is a nice romantic movie and it gives you the encouragement to know that when you work hard at something you desire, you'll be rewarded with it.

My ultimately favorite movie, last but not least; "The Christmas Card". I'm a softee when it comes to romance, and this movie is so down to earth romantic. It's about this woman who sends Christmas cards to troops overseas. Her card happens to come along the path of this soldier who reads and keeps the card to help him through the tough times during the war. This soldier gets some time off after an incident happen. He actually goes to the hometown of the woman who sent the Christmas card. He meets her at church, but he doesn't let on who he is. He meets her father, gets to know the family and she still doesn't know who he is. She treats him cordial and all the while he's there with her, he falls in love with her. I'm going to put a plug in right there. I won't tell anymore, as not to spoil the movie for you. I tell you though, it's a great movie. One of my most favorite.

So check out one of those great Christmas movies, it'll certainly get you in the Christmas spirit. What are your favorite Christmas movies or cartoons? Has it been any life lessons you learned from them?

Oh yeah I forgot, the classical, "Christmas Carol". One of the best. Take care everybody and get those decorations out and recipes layed out. Christmas is coming.

Christmas Presents

This is actually something I crocheted for myself with some yarn my mother brought me. I love yarn as you may have realize. This is a lap throw that I crocheted with double crochet stitches. It's a gold, white and off white color combination. I love it. It's just the right size to. It keeps me warm.

This is a Christmas I made for one of my love ones. It's a granny square afghan (blanket). I hope they like it.

Here it is again, you can see the squares attached to it. It's like a mosaic puzzle. My mother likes doing granny squares. In fact I taught her to crochet and I think she's got better than I have. It's a great craft to do and relax while you do it.

This is another gift that I'm making for a Pastor. It's military colors, standing for God's soldiers. I hope he likes it. So this is mostly what I've been doing, trying to make some nice handmade Christmas gift. I encourage everyone to make at least 1 homemade gift for a love one. It lasts memories of lifetimes.

I'm Backkkkkkkkkk

Hi everybody "I'm back", and it's good to be back. I miss all of you guys. I thought I would've been back Monday, but I was able to cut away from the bustle and tell you all hi. Here are some picture's of what I did on my Thanksgiving Holiday.

It was so much fun. Of course all of the relatives were down for Thanksgiving. Today we took a family trip and went shopping. Here's my son in Game Stop a video game store. If he had a choice, he'll live there.


My beautiful mother, getting ready to serve up the food on Thanksgiving in her kitchen. First time I posted my mother. She's my rock, and we're close like sisters. A little about her is that she, other than in her background of being African-American, she has Native American and European descent. Rich history isn't it? I'm trying to find out more and do some research for the next generation in our family so that they know who they deeply are. What about you all, I'm interested in knowing your backgound history of your people?

My crazy sister, fooling around. I love her. Waz up sista girl? She's my best friend to. O.k. now she's the oldest. Just had to put that in. I'm the youngest girl.

Here we are, my store. Wal-mart, I love Wal-mart, you can find bargain prices everyday in Wal-mart.

People were shopping today, but not at all like I've seen last year during black Friday. I guess the economy really took a toll on some of the people. Everybody is trying to make it and hang in there. I pray that our economy will rise and come back on top. We are going to make it people. Be encouraged everyone. Don't loose hope.

Number one store that probably is going to make a lot of money this year. Who doesn't like Radio shack? Everybody likes electronics. It's a big sell I think every year around Christmas. Right next to it is Sally Beauty Supply and then next to that store is Game Stop. That's were my son was.

Going other place to shop. This is at the mall. A lot of people were here shopping. Everyone loves the Mall too. Very crowded here.

Here's my son seriously, intently and mind you, very happy about the video game purchases he made. He's going to wait until Christmas, to play with them. It's hurting him to. It's just itching him to play, but I figure he'll have something to look forward to on that day.

My brother is about to chow down. I tell you, everyones in the kitchen.

My niece and nephews, at the kiddie table. They had a ball. Who doesn't like the kiddie table, man it's fun.



Of course, I had a picture taken of me, but it didn't come out, so maybe next time. Hope you guys enjoyed my Thanksgiving Holiday journey. I really had a blessed and fun time. I hope you all did to.
I did something a little different this year. We had door prizes to give away. I gave out numbers, and just called them out until everyone got a prize. It was really fun. The kids enjoyed it to.
