Monday's Circle Time Again

These pictures are in no particular order or have a theme. They are random. Here's a picture of my favorite past time. As many of my reader's no, I love yarn and I love to crochet. Here's my basket of yarn-this is my yarn stash. Did I tell you, I love yarn.

This is an afghan (blanket if you will) that I'm crocheting for myself for the next cold months coming. My grandmother and sister taught me how to crochet when I was a little girl.
The stitches above is called, "aligned shells." It's so easy to make.

Here below is a lap throw I'm working on to sell in my shop. These stitches that I'm Crocheting are called, "Palm Leaves." I love them, I think this is my favorite. I'm trying to stock up on a lot of crocheted lap throws for the winter. People really tend to buy these up in my shop.Right here below is a centerpiece I made to sell in my shop. It can be a centerpiece for a wedding reception or a banquet. I call this art work, "Paradise Garden." It just brings peace and sootheness to mind when you look at it.

These are some of my hand-made jewelry that I make and sell in my store as well. These are going to be sold at my Mother's Day Extraveganza Sale.

Some more necklaces that customers will hopefully buy for Mother's Day. What mother doesn't like jewelry.

Here's my table of goodies set up in the shop. There are a lot of variety things I sell. I make my own natural spa product. In a set I make the bath beads, soap and the lotion to fo with it. Studying Aromatherapy sure does come in handy when adding the fragrances to these spa products. Not only do they smell good, but they are good for you-very health beneficial. Like the Lavendar-it helps one to relax and destress. Who wouldn't love that.
Here's my brother working on our fence. He's so hard at work, he didn't know that I got a picture of him. About ready for the summer.

So what's your favorite past time? And what did you do during the weekend?
Have a Happy Monday everybody, and what happen in your circle?
Peace & Love,
Treasure Ann

Bountiful Treasures New Items

These are my new items I have up for grabs to sell. They are crochet hand-made purses. You can check it out on my business blog at www.treasuresandgifts.blogspot.com. Or to order them, ou can contact me at my e-mail address at bountifultreasuresgifts@yahoo.com.
These purses make great for carrying light items and just even going out to a luncheon with the girls.
This purse is super cute with white in the front and the color dusty pink rose color in the back. It's a girly, girly purse when your having tea with your friends.

This is a "let's go mall shopping" purse. With all the shopping bags of your nice purchased items. You don't need a heavy purse to weigh you down. With this purse all you need is a small wallet and great for holding your keys. Easy to get to without all the hassle of running through a bunch of stuff before you can retrieve it.
These purses are great for helping you limit a lot of knick knacks that will weigh your shoulder down. You can look at it as help purse to control all the clutter you would want to pack inside. It works for me because, I'm like that. These purses help me to control "the purse clutter syndrome." Enjoy your day and I'll chat with you all later.
Peace & Love

Wednesday Works

I thought I might try this Wednesday Works post to do as a weekly thing of what I did for that day. So I'll try to keep up with the schedule every Wednesday to keep you posted of what's happening in my life for that particular day.

So here goes; I might miss a few things and errands that were put in action today but, without further ado. (Some might be to detailed) and if the list tends to get too long, I'll stop at #10.

*Note: These might not be in chronological order.

1. Every morning of course I like to have a morning devotion. That's reading a scripture out the Bible; my favorite is Psalm 23 and Psalm 37. Then I pray. *So since this is an everyday thing I do, I won't list this next Wednesday-I'm just getting all the ones that's new to you out the way first.*

2. Eat Breakfast.

3. Get ready to open up the shop.
4. Wait on customers.

5. Do business paperwork and business product, when there's a break.

6. Work on a few crochet art pieces or some other art project. (I'm sort of a mixed media artist)

7. Wash clothes, dry them and fold. (As women, I don't know, I guess we are suppose to love to do the laundry, but I'm one of them women that don't. In fact that maybe the most dreadful chore I do.)

8. Oh yeah, I definitely had to do my taxes, you know how it is bizz people-reporting and filing. Not fun, but you do what you have to do.

9. O.k. I haven't done this part yet, but I'm getting ready to; and that's take a good hot bath, fix me a nice hot cup of cocoa, get my "Family Circle" magazine, sit down on the couch with a very nice warm blanket, looking through my magazine and afterwards watch a nice down to earth movie, like "Sense & Sensibility".

10. Tell you all have a good evening.

What was your day like today?

Gotta go, my hot chocolate is waiting for me, and my magazine is calling.

Peace and love,

I Mis-calculated

I mis~calculated the cost items of my jewelry products that I will be selling to another shop. The term wholesale, and I didn't add the cost up right. L is gracious to help me figure it out and I'm giving the wrong total. Thanks L for be so patient and helping, I really appreciate it.

So here are the right calculations:

*For the bracelet, I spend $9.00 on material to make that.
*For the men's necklace, I spend $10.00 on material to make it.

I also think that I will take L's advice on the time I use to make it and bring it in to 2 hours on the products. It's gradual, but it's coming together. Getting started with anything new takes time and work, which ensures a successful business or any aspirations.

Whoever has a dream of owning their own business, and it may seem hard-don't give up!!! Keep at it, presevere and believe it will happen, pray and ask the Lord to help you and be patient while your working on it and it will happen. Check out www.adozeneggs.com and see what I mean. The owner, of that cookie company made her dreams come true. She's even baking cookies for famous people. If you haven't seen Recipe for Success that comes on the Food Network-she was featured on there. I believe she has a video on her site that you can watch some segments on there. You'll get to see her presevere and made it. She now has her business to prove. L you know I gotta give you props girlfreind. That's what friends do.

That can be an inspiration to you all. Stay focus, never give up and your dreams will happen.
O.K. gotta go, I'm about to work on this new dream I have added with having my own business and that's work on my book. Hopefully finish it in this year and try to get it published this year. Tall order right? Well I'm gonna try.

L I got the calculations right this time. :) Chat with you all later.

Oh by the way, what are ya'll dreams for this year?

Business Planning

Having a business is hard work, determination, and learning from great business men & women. Thank you L. O.K. , a few days ago I announced that I will be going wholesale with my men's necklace and women's charm bracelets. In order to make sure I get my profit in wholesaling, there are things that I have to get a figure on.

Here are the answers to the questions that L presented to me in order to calculate a wholesale price to the business that wants to sell my jewelry in their shop.
1. The cost of every element of each item is $25.00 total of all item cost added together.
2. I make at least 3 to 4 bracelets and/or necklaces a day (5 days). For each item it probably takes me between 30 to 45 minutes to complete 1.
3. Let's see, I hope I calculated or I hope I'm answering this with sense. How much do I think my time is worth? I would say $9.00 an hour for the 5 days I take to work on the jewelries. Estimated probably about $90.00 a week of my time.
With a beginning business, until you make enough money to pay an assistant, everything is done by yourseld. Except, if you have business oriented friends like L to help you. You rock girl.
While the wholesale price are being worked up. I'm still working in the assembly line, and production is going great. I have quite a bit of bracelets done. I have to stock up on the menns necklace though. Well o.k. I'm off now to get to work. I've given Sunday's & Mondays off for myself in order to stock up on my products. I know that with Valentines Day around the corner is going to be a great way to advertise and get lots of orders and people purchasing something for their sweethearts. I can't wait.
Enjoy the rest of your day, and always be kind to others.

Wholesale Jewelry

Here are the jewelries I'll be wholesaling to a gift shop. There are only 2 items that I am making, and I have to make a lot of it. The necklace below is called "Men of Valor". The price that I sell it for in my shop is $15.00. For the wholesale price, I'm selling it for is $9.00, but I have a minimum order policy in place. Meaning, they would have to buy a minimum of 4 or 5 necklaces. This is so that I can get my money back & a profit. (L if your reading this, let me know if that sounds reasonable. I'm still not sure about the price point and I'm still doing some figuring in my head).
All necklaces aren't going to always have the same style. However, it will be looking like this one in some similar way. The reason for this is because, I'm the custom hand maker of these items, and this is whats going to make every piece authentic and different.

I love the way the brown beads give the black beads a little bit of color, but not over bearing. It really gives the statement for any man wearing it, that they are strong & noble.

Oh I had to throw this in here. This is the beautiful poncho my mother crocheted for me for my birthday. (To see more of these pictures of what I got for my birthday, Christmas and on my trip-scroll down to the post titled Gifts From the Past & Present )
I got a lot of compliments on my birthday trip about my poncho.

My charm bracelets are usually sold at the price of $10.00 in my shop, but for my wholesale price, I'll be selling them for $8.00. It has to be purchase of a minimum of 5.
So I hope I'm price pointing them fairly, and with all the materials, supplies, and beads-not to mention time/labor I would say that's not to bad. But we'll see how my deal with owner works out.

I have a thing about charm bracelets, so I have a lot of these made up. There are no special styles to them, just random-but they are beautiful.

Does anybody have a business out there? If so, what's the name of it? What do you sell? Also what do you think about my price point for wholesale? Is it too much? or too less?

Have a great day, and enjoy living.

Bake Sale Results

The bake sale I think was a huge success. I mopped up at least $200.00. I would say that's pretty good for one day. I also wanted to do this bake sale to advertise my other products I make and sell. I want the community to know what I'm selling.
It was a cold day, but it turned out pretty good.

Well I'm almost finishing up my homemade Christmas gifts, and I will be also buying some and baking some. O.k. good people I'll chat with you later.

Don't forget to get those gifts wrapped and under the tree. Play some Christmas music and sip on some egg nog, while you do it-so much fun.
Happy Holidays,
Treasure Ann

Bake Sale Update Preparation

O.K. preparations for a Bake Sale is a lot of work. First thanks to all of you for your encouraging words, to keep going in my business venture. Also again thank you to all for wishing me the best on doing well with the bake sale.

I have been pretty busy preparing for this bake sale extravaganza. I expect and hope that a lot of people will be coming. I've passed out many flyers and told anybody I could think of. I've also used the advice that Lulu from "A Tale Of Two Sisters" (www.nixonsleeves.blogspot.com) gave me on Marketing my products more. Thanks Lulu, appreciate it girlfriend. Looks like it worked well to. Here are some pictures of what I wll be selling at my bake sale along with some of my home made products. My natural-chemical free soap, some earrings & charm bracelets I made. I also designed some tote bags. I hope that becomes a big seller.
I made some "Whoopie Pies",

Peanut Butter Cookies,

Christmas Cupcakes, which I think is going to sell really well. These really put you in the Christmas Spirit.

Snowball Cookies, is a recipe I got from a recipe book. I tweaked the recipe a little and made it my own. They are really good. There made with of course butter, all purpose flour, chopped walnuts and you roll them into bite size balls. When there cooled off, you roll the in powdered sugar. I like to add milk chocolate chips in them, and they taste great. Sometimes I experiment on them and roll them in cinnamon & powdered sugar. When I do that, I get sort of a spice ball cookie. Fun isn't it? Can you tell I love baking?

Last but not certainly not in the American least, chocolate chip cookies. Who doesn't love chocolate chip cookies? This is an all-time favorite for everybody. I will be selling a lot of these. another thing that's festive to do for Christmas is add baking M & M chips. Some of you probably have tried that. It makes the cookie so colorful and fun.

I really hope I do well, and I will post about my progress. In the meantime, I'm back to preparing, baking, and producing attractive jewelry to sell. It's such a fun thing to do around the Holidays.
By the way, what are ya'll baking up for Christmas? and...Is anyone giving any baked goods away as a Christmas present? Tell me about it.
In the meantime, Happy Holidays!!!
Have fun during your holiday season.
